Thomas Robson was an Elder in the Society of Friends in England, and his wife, Elizabeth Stephenson Robson, a recorded Minister. He was a wine and spirits merchant, later tea and groceries. They frequently travelled together in the ministry, visiting America several times from 1824-1842. Elizabeth Robson was a strong advocate of the Orthodox position prior to the Separation of 1827/28.
